“How to build a ‘perfect’ language” by Bettina Beinhoff at The Conversation

CSFF Co-Director Dr Bettina Beinhoff researches ‘conlangs’, or created languages created for SFF books and films, such as Klingon, Elvish, and Dothraki (one language spoken by Daenerys in Game of Thrones, above).

In her recent article for The Conversation, Bettina gives some advice on how to approach building a language that is appropriate for a project’s context, but warns that there is no such thing as a ‘perfect’ one!
