Call for Papers: CoDE Symposium

CoDE SYMPOSIUM

STORYLAB

ANGLIA RUSKIN UNIVERSITY, CAMBRIDGE

6th June 2017

This symposium is designed to trigger cross-disciplinary conversations both within the academic and student community and externally through creative storytelling. It is a day of exchanging ideas and planting seeds for future collaborative research and practice.

Symposium Theme: Stories allow us to understand complex issues, develop empathy, establish common ground as well as elicit participation and understanding. Storytelling itself in whatever form is a flexible concept with a broad range of applications and no universal standard for implementation. A narrative can create a platform for communication, discussion, analysis, synthesis and innovation.

CoDE invites submissions for proposals for demonstrations or presentations from practitioners who would like to showcase completed or in process research and practice, for example, interactive media, films, virtual reality, performance, music, dance, sound, text, animation, illustration based around narrative or creative storytelling. 200 word proposals (including technical requirements) should be submitted to code@anglia.ac.uk before Midday Monday 28th March 2016.
